Witton Castle Country Park is situated in the heart of County Durham amidst 338 acres of beautiful countryside at the foot of the pennines. The 14th Century Castle forms the centrepiece of the park which provides a peaceful haven for visitors and Holiday home owners.
One mile from the A68 and 15 minutes from the A1, the park is accessible and within easy reach of the many local attractions within Northumbriaand North Yorkshire.
Only a short drive away are countless beauty spots and places of interest, including magnificent stretches of coastline with fabulous sandy beaches and numerous stately homes.
Witton Castle Lakes, one of the, premier trout fisheries of the North East of England is also located in the grounds of Witton Castle, in the heartland of the picturesque Wear valley. Over 20 acres of water, providing excellent fly-fishing for top quality trout; the fishery is open to enthusiasts throughout the year.
